Alex Cooper

Alex Cooper is an emerging Scottish artist who since graduating in 2003 has taken the U.K art world by storm. Having received critical acclaim and exposure in both the Scottish and London art scenes she is set for continued success in 2005.

Fresh and innovative, Alex Coopers’ work lends a polished contemporary edge to any space - commercial or domestic.

Alex Cooper, achieved a BA (Hons) in Drawing and Painting from Edinburgh College of Art in 2003 having already completed an Arts and Social Sciences degree at Strathclyde University. Alex exhibited and sold her powerful abstract painting “Elemental Drawing; Fire” at Standard Life Investments’ BraveArt03 Exhibit. She met Wimbledon gallery owner, Cynthia Corbett, at her ECA Degree Show and is now represented by The Cynthia Corbett Gallery in London. In 2004, Alex exhibited and sold at The London Art Fair, The Affordable Art Fair, Battersea, “Young Urban Art” at The Glass House in London, “artLondon” in Chelsea in June, The ING Bank Exhibit, London and ‘Young, Female, Scottish’ at Westminster CityInn, London. Alex’s work is also hanging in The Notting Hill Brasserie, London.

Further to showing in group exhibitions Alex has also completed several private site specific commissions for domestic spaces.
